Big Dicks Run

O.K. for
all those who didn’t make it to the Lopinot run last Saturday well the Big
Dicks really put on a good one. With seemingly endless hills, rivers and oh yes
hills, it made for quite a cardio even for the veterans!!! The pack was held
nicely together with the compliment of the challenging terrain and
strategically placed X’s.
As
tradition from the last BIG DICKS run, cold Buds and water were available and
was much welcomed!!!
The
decision to give Eggie Poofter I thought would have been unanimous as talks of
it circulated through the hash but thanks to diligent hashers, Slim was brought
to justice by his attempts to shelter under a banana tree by pushing to ladies
out from under the leaf which made totally no sense as he was clearly bigger
than the tree….

It must
have been Christmas cause pork pastels was on de menu… A few games of pool and
some good ole time soca music ended the night on a good note.

Two down and for some reason, still at least 26 more to go.
A Big Dicks, Lopinot Run is traditionally a very easy and
short run, with absolutely no hills, mud or rivers, but always very well set.
For some reason this one differed considerably from all expectations. The
terrain was strangely hilly, leaving everyone wondering where on earth did they
find hills in Lopinot. The pack was assaulted by rivers and mud at every turn,
also a Lopinot first. The poor setting of the trail created the biggest
surprise. Missing X’s allowed a part of the pack to “preview” the ending of the
run; a 20 minute preview, before being called back by the hares.
Apart from these irregularities however, it was a great
run, very scenic at parts, followed by a splendid lime at the bar. Thanks to
the Big Dicks for providing water and additional beers.
Nominees for Poofter: Eggy for not writing last run’s scribe describe begging for the honour until Zam finally relented and gave him a chance. Enrique for hopping a bus back to the run site after a slight drizzle began. Antonio Lopez for using the hash as an opportunity to romance his companion. Finally Slim for pushing two ladies out from beneath a tree under which they were sheltering in an attempt to seek cover for himself, despite the tree’s considerable inability to shelter him. Slim won it almost unanimously, and the only reason it wasn’t unanimous is because Slim voted for each of the other 3 candidates and not himself.
