    RUN:#656                                     RUN SITE: Valencia

SCRIBE: Trini Connection                       HARES: Numbnuts & David Dookie

DATE: March 10, 2007

The lead up to the run started with a call to Mark, very early in the morning, to see if he had enough paper for the run and judging from his tone of voice at that hour, it was a sure sign of things to come.  Twelve hours later we started to head to the run site.  On arrival we found that the other hares had Pinny working overtime as a parking attendant to collect our parking fees.  Just before the start of the run he was seen scampering after Randall to collect his money as he drove by without paying.  The actual run site is a lovely recreational park with a river running through.  I have to congratulate the hares on choosing such a lovely location for the run.

The HM called for the hash to begin and after the introduction of the hares with the usual talk about the run we were off.  The run started with the hares taking us straight into the river to begin.  Don't they know that hashers don't like to get their feet wet too early in the run!  The first 15 minutes or so of the run comprised of some lovely trails and the checks kept the pack together.  We were in and out of the river a few times, must be the same river, up a hill, more trails then back into the river again.  We were following the river until suddenly someone shouted "snake", only for Jerry to reply that it was his "genk" and not his snake.  Further back the response came that "it must be a dead snake".  We continued along the river to the next check where the FRB's were trying to locate the ON until Pinny and David called the ON to us from up the hill.  Pinny was then seen leading the pack and calling ON ON as if he was a hound.  We continued on along some more trails to the ON IN and back to the run site.  Nancy and Raymond were seen along the ON IN going in the opposite direction.  Could it be that she did not arrive in time to start the run and decided to do it backwards?

Thanks to the hares for a good run.  The lime was great and after the usual amount of consumption of beer, not from Harry but out new pump master, O'Zama called Hash Hush.  The usual down downs were taken and then we had the pleasure of hearing Cyril give a rendition of his calypso, for those of

us who were not present at the calypso competition.

ON ON to Mayaro.

Zam’s Zanies

8 down, 18 more t-shirts to go. We should consider ourselves lucky that run 656, set by The Three Stooges (part 2), came off. When, on the day of the run, the hares were still not quite sure where the actual run site was, it gives you an idea of what to expect. Pinny got time off from his Big Boss to help out. All in all things went well, hashers are not so hard to please. The down=downs were pre-empted by the line-up for burgers, so the HM had to wait it out.

Virgins: Jeff, Martin, Marisa, Lori, Luke, Renee, Cheyvonne, Kevin, Alicia, Alicia (that’s right, there were two),Doon, Hammond & Brandon

The Poofter was awarded to Enrique for several offences against the POS Hash, including horning

a fellow Hasher.

Elise was given a down-down for leaving on short notice. Brian and Susan celebrated their birthdays, DFA did not come up for his down-down. Judah (young boy) was praised for calling On On throughout the run, front runners take note.

The evening ended with a sterling performance by The Mighty Mystery of his latest composition.
